daCi Delights

daCi Delight November 2013

A little food for thought, particularly relevant to teaching.

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." ~ Albert Einstein

What is a daCi Delight?
daCi Delights are teaching ideas, tips, resources, or reflections to enrich our dance teaching. They come from daCi members who want to share something they have found useful and successful in their own classes.

If you have some motivating music your students love; a prop that captures their imagination; an improvisation prompt or composition structure that inspires great dancemaking; a new twist on a tried-and-true old favorite; a good new book or article; or some great cheap-and-easy costumes (the list goes on…) daCi needs you! Please share your excellent ideas with the rest of us!

Submit a daCi Delight here. Try to keep it to 200 words or less. If you have a longer piece consider sending it to the newsletter editor.
